Exclusive | Towering nearly 900 feet above NYC, Fifth Avenue’s tallest home lists for $11.5 million

Call it the York City View.

At 520 Fifth Ave., a 1,002-foot tower that went up in October — whose height makes it the tallest residential skyscraper along Manhattan’s famed corridor — a house hunter can now purchase a penthouse that comes with several special bragging rights.

The building’s tallest residence, Penthouse 80, has just been listed for $11.5 million — making it the tallest home along Fifth Avenue.

This plane is truly spectacularly located just under 900 meters above street level and spans the entire 80th floor. It has direct elevator access to its spacious 31-foot entrance gallery, which in turn leads to a large corner room with massive displays.

“The Penthouse has 360-degree views because it’s the full floor — south to downtown and of course the Empire State Building, east to the Chrysler Building and both rivers … and to the north is Central Park,” Donna. Puzio, senior director of sales for Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, which heads sales and marketing at 520 Fifth, told The Post.

Oversized arched windows frame those iconic views of the skyline — “They have a window sill and shutters and add great character,” Puzio said.

The 80’s Penthouse views are matched in the building only by 520 Fifth’s Penthouse 88 amenity suite, which includes a skylight room, a library lounge with an Emperador marble fireplace, a private dining room with wall coverings of and a game room with a vintage style pool table.

“It’s amazing that they chose to give all residents access to the views from the top of the building,” said Puzio of the building’s New York-based development firm, Rabina.

However, the penthouse is only a two-bedroom extension, almost the largest in the building. The development’s 100 apartments range from one to four bedrooms.

“It’s a very generous two-bedroom,” Puzio said. “It has 2,562 square meters of interior space,” and she added that its high altitude is “a big selling point.”

Ceilings reach nearly 13 feet; White 7-inch-wide oak plank flooring anchors the living space. The powder room, off the entry gallery, features a custom vanity made of black French Saint Laurent marble with copper stripes.

Taj Mahal quartzite countertops and white lacquer and walnut cabinets adorn the kitchen. The master suite has a large walk-in closet and a five-piece bathroom outfitted with Calacatta Golden Lincoln and Verde Laguna marble.

Benefiting from height and views, the primary bedroom has three exposures.

“This is a very special feature,” Puzio said of the wake — or return facing north, west and south.

Due for completion at the end of 2025, the building is already selling briskly for its apartments. Puzio said residents are expected to be able to move in by next Christmas and live in what may just be an iconic new building in Midtown.

“This is the tallest residential building on Fifth,” Puzio reiterated, adding that the Fifth Avenue corridor has only one taller tower. “It’s the second tallest after the Empire State Building.”
