Kristen Farris has a sixth sense when it comes to couples.

As a divorce attorney for nearly two decades, the New Yorker knows whether a pair of newlywed lovebirds are destined to fly off into the sunset — or crash and burn shortly after takeoff.

And when she spots those star-crossed girlfriends, Farris gives them a wedding gift that’s deemed “crazy.”

“If I really believe they’re going to need it, I’ll put my business card on my wedding card,” the lawyer, 39, from the Hudson Valley, told a TikTok audience of more than 774,000.

“I don’t do it to people I think will last,” Farris said. “I do it people it won’t last.”

It’s the parting gift – right after “I do.”

But according to recent divorce reports, Farris may not be sharing her contact information as often as she did before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact, marriage rates in the US have enjoyed steady growth — especially in New York — while legal separations have declined since the 2020 outbreak, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Unfortunately, however, divorce is still a nationwide epidemic.

It’s a serious issue that worries a lot of girlfriends in states like Delaware, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky, so say the experts at DivorceLawyers.ca.

“I have thousands of friends who tell their spouses that they can’t take me on in their divorce because they take me on as a lawyer.”

Farris went on to claim that the most glaring red flags of relationship death are “lack of communication” and a change in their life goals, such as having children or career choices.

“If they’re not talking about their next election early, it’s a telltale sign that they won’t last 10 years,” she insisted, adding that ongoing criticism between the pair also indicated an imminent split.

Although her intentions seem pure, Farris caught a firestorm from virtual viewers who didn’t find her warnings about wedding gifts funny.

“On their wedding card it’s crazy,” spat an unattainable commenter.

“That’s too sticky,” barked another. “I wouldn’t appreciate a ‘friend’ doing that.”

“Regardless of how you feel about the couple or what you think is going to happen, this is so rude,” wrote one equally offended critic.

“Damn divorce lawyer business card ON their wedding card is a little clumsy,” added another.

However, a handful of people argued that they would be grateful for Farris’ professional foresight.

“If you were my friend seeing me get married,” one viewer said, “I’d appreciate the card before I say I’m getting married, please.”
