I’m a flight attendant of 5 years – this passenger behavior should be illegal at 30,000 feet

Airline passengers who display bad behavior are part of the crash, says this fed-up flight attendant.

Between takeoff and landing, there is an unspoken code of conduct that frequent flyers must adhere to.

But when common sense fails, cabin crew member Cher Killough wants the tactless travelers thrown in jail.

“Things that should be illegal to do on a plane,” began Killough, a Dallas-based flight attendant of five years, in a TikTok tip.

“No. 1 is the spreading of the hands, – she said of the sharp, space-occupying tendency. “Specifically, spreading your arms when you’re in a middle seat.”

Red hair was considered a transgression — often committed by inattentive boys who bent their knees wide open while sharing a narrow plane row – “unacceptable” before unleashing other equally irritating in-flight transgressions that, in her opinion, should order prison.

And it’s far from the first time Killough has aired her grievances about air travel.

In May, the plane virally revealed the “most disgusting, evil, diabolical” acts viewers commit, including boarding a plane while sick and vomiting all over the cabin.

And earlier in the year, she advised aviators not to wear shorts when at 30,000 feet, warning them they were likely to “freeze” due to the usually low temperatures in the sky.

But cold feet should be the least of tourists’ worries, according to Killough.

“Say we have an evacuation and you have to go down the slide,” she said, “Your rear cheekbones are going to get ripped off!”

And when it comes to her latest list of dos and don’ts, Killough urges flyers to ditch their fancy (or weird) scents.

“Sniffing like anything on a plane should be illegal,” insisted the expert.

“I don’t care if it’s good or bad,” she continued, “nobody wants to smell whatever scents you’ve decided to wear today — whether it’s body odor or perfume or cologne.”

But Killough’s intentions aren’t to be a big stinker. Instead, it hopes to reduce the risk of airborne disease.

“It’s already an environment where people are prone to nausea,” she explained, “so to have an additional fragrance on top of that is not a good mix.”

Finally, she reinforced the unwritten rule against walking barefoot on the plane.

“There’s no time it’s acceptable to stick your bare toes out in the cockpit,” Killough said. “You seriously deserve to go to jail if you open your toes when you go to the bathroom.

“I see this all the time,” she groans, “and it should be against the law.”
